Fixed - Dead Pump Replacement S70 1998

Pump Arrived at 1:15. About 30 minutes later I had the car running again.

Really, it would have taken less that 30 minutes had the pump not arrived with some sort of weird ABS shell around it.

After getting the shell off, I found that the pump was almost perfectly identical to the original The shell seemed to only be there to make it about 5mm larger and to fit a different type of filter sock. My guess is that the shell is there to make it compatible with the the early-model C70s and 850s.

Only problem was that I had to reuse my original filter, Despite a few minutes of lip-biting, breath-holding, and no-going-back commitment to breaking off the ABS shell... everything fit like a glove.

So the car is back in service. Very happy. Thanks for the help in narrowing and confirming the problem!
