Re: What is Ford smoking? 850 96T

Do not expect the X-type to be $30K...look at mid $30s...talked to a friend of mine who is the Sales Manager at a Jaguar dealership and the way these cars will be equipped will be in the mid 35K range.

The S60 AWD (coming this September) will be priced about the same. Ok, 230HP? Still, the Jaguar brand has OLD demographics...sure, the X-type will add a bit of young blood and it will be a formidable opponent but I am not worried at all; look at the "young examples" from Cadillac and Lincoln with the Catera and the LS-series, respectively...still old people buy them.

I, personally, think that the X-type will be more successful than those two models but I am not worried about Volvo buyers going to Jaguar, two different demographics.
