This might help 850 1994

I posted the following reply to another person earlier this week. It might help. I don't know if you and Rick together can identify the gear that is broken or if he will send it to you but it is worth a try. Maybe he will...He is very kind and may even walk you through the repair over the phone if you are not very knowlegable. He walked me through some of mine, in order to identify if it was worth sending it to him for repair or not. Anyway, his non-800 phone number and fax numbers are: USA 512-329-8200 (Phone) and USA 512-306-0276 (fax).

Good luck, David

Look at http://kinovolvo.cjb.net/ and click on "Useful Info" on how to take your instrument cluster out. You will need to follow the diagrams so print them out and then after your cluster is out, remove the odometer. Rick Borth at Overseas Speedometer (www.speedometer.com) can repair it for you. You can call him and talk to him about this at 1-800-444-0292. There is a small gear in your odemeter that is likely broken. The reason the cluster, unlike the odometer which is mechanical. Anyway, my odometer broke and Rick fixed it for me. He is reasonable and he had it back to me in less than a week. Hope this helps. By the way, Rick (Overseas Odometer) is in Austin, Tx.

David
