Should tranny lock-up solenoid be clicking? 850 94

Hi,

I had my S1 solenoid in my automatic replaced due to 1-2-2 code on A1. After the replacement I _think_ that the lock-up function of the tranny is not working as it should. I get noticable worse fuel economy (5-10 mpg less)and don't feel the locking (car also feels a lot sloppier). I ran the DTC Mode 3 test (ign key in II-position, engine not running), which activates the solenoids among other functions. I could hear S1, S2 and STH solenoids click, BUT NO clicks from the lock-up SL solenoid! According to the tranny manual, clicks should be heard (I suppose as loud as for the other solenoids?). Am I right ??

The resistance of the solenoid seems OK and it draws about 900 mA when activated with battery voltage. (Could it just be jammed?).

I'm 100% sure it used to work before the repair.
