Brake shoe help 850 1996

If V70 are easier, 850s can't be done. That was the most awkward brake set up I had ever seen. I think the cable on the V70 attaches to the rear shoe. The arm that works the adjuster is on the front one.

Are there two steps in the spreader ? It was easy to get the shoe in the first one, but it took several trys to get it into the deeper second one.
