Re: Problem Starting 850 1993

I currently have a PNP problem as well on my 94. What happens is when it is cold it sometimes has a problem starting..i.e.- no electrical contact at all until I move the shift lever back and forth several times and switch it to Sport mode. I was told that when the PNP is bad, the tranny gets stupid and doesnt know what gear its in and make the right contact to be able to start. Look up postings on "tranny wont shift when cold". But I get no crank at all..just a dead switch when I try to start, is this what you get? I also have 76k on mine.

Hope this helps.
