I originally had this big story to post but it was so long that it took two pages in Word!!! Here is a quick summary.
1. Back window that was replaced by a company they contracted out to still is not in right (it rattles and squeaks like you wouldn’t believe, in crooked first time!!!), on try number 3. DON’T USE BANNER GLASS in Rockville.
2. Still can’t fix suspension noise after visit number 5. Clunks over bumps.
3. Still can’t fix engine noise after visit number 4. Loud whine on cold mornings
They are obviously just trying to buy time until my warranty expires (expires 85K, I’m at 82K). It is difficult to reproduce engine noise since it needs to be extremely cold out, but I have it on video. I found out that the techs don’t get paid very good diagnostic time or replacement time when dealing with VIP and that’s why they don’t want to use it, I was told this by George the service manager (worst service manager I’ve ever dealt with, and I’ve dealt with GM (had two Pontiacs and an Oldsmobile) service managers!!!). I am now dealing with VCNA to get this taken care of, VCNA was my last resort, and hopefully they’ll help. It sucks worse because 355 Volvo is 2 miles from where I work; the next closest dealership is in Silver Spring or Washington, both approximately 20 miles away. I have all the details and if you want them just send me an e-mail and I’ll send you the full description on all 3 problems, believe me, all three problems have a unique history!! Final advice -- PLEASE AVOID 355 VOLVO SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Also, I have talked to two other people on the BB that agree 355 Volvo’s service department is horrible. Any one else please post I really want to hear your story. Thanks!!!!!
