Problem Starting 850 1994

Reference to my earlier message on 3/8...installed a new ignition coil assembly and car still not start and no spark from coil to distributor. Advised to check diagnostic code box and did so. Got normal code on the a-2 test but no response at all from the a-6 test. Was advised this meant the ignition computer board was bad (which could have been caused by my attempt at a jump start with old, dead battery).

Can get used ignition computer board for $300. Any words of wisdom?
