Control arm replacement, any warnings or hints? V70-XC70 2000

I have to replace the lower control arm on a 2000 V-70 . The two bolts on the frame look simple enough but the ball joint at the lower half of the wheel looks a little weird. Does this require a pickle fork? Any torque values for the knuckle holding that ball joint or do I leave that alone and just hammer the ball joint? Thanks for any input
