MESSAGE FOR "WADE XC90

Just read yourr stutter message. My 2006 XC90 V-8 developed an intermittent short stutter that usually occurred during acceleration (around 25 mph). Dealer did the following, in this order; flushed tranny fluid, replaced the drive axles; replaced the transamission valve body. Still had the problem until the check engine light came on a month later- I was advised that the brakepedal switch was going bad. Service manager logic: when you apply the brake the switch tell the fuel management computer to stop feeding fuel to the engine; this momentary fuel starvation caused the stutter. I was skeptical but that was 4 months ago and car no longer stutters. Hope this helps.
