Bad ABS unit

You may have a bad automatic breaking system unit. This is a small black box located underneath the brake line distribution near the master cylinder. This unit is a computer in charge of knowing your speed and odometer and is subject to cracks in its circuit boards. When failing, your red ABS light may flicker on and off or just stay on. Speedometer needle suddenly drops to zero and hyphens appear in the trip meter. There's a guy in San Bernardino county somewhere named Victor Rocha who rebuilds them if that is the case for less than replacement cost. The unit is held on by four bolts that require a weird E-5 socket; a reverse torx nut that he will supply to you.
