Removing a door from an 850 850

This is premptive. When the day comes that a white 850 shows up at the local pick&pull, I want to be ready. I read this on Matthews:

http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=27840

But, can I just remove the door by freeing up the hinge pins and lifting it up and out????? This would settle alignment problems and allow a single person to remove/install the door. The window will be rolled up, no choice as the P&P has no battery supplied to the cars.

The hinge pin has an external torx screw, whatever that is for. I couldn't see the bottom of the hinge pin to see if there is a bolt on it or not.

If you have done this - let me know.
