Highway robbery is what it used to be called.

If you put the clip on the line first and then slide the line onto the radiator fitting, it should 'click' and a firm tug should confirm. You could get a hose clamp at the hardware store and lightly secure it further - but caution as you do not want to over tighten.

I actually bought a clip from the dealer years ago after flushing the tranny fluid. The old one was very rusty and I just didn't trust it anymore.

BTW, there is little pressure on those lines.
