Re: Parking Brake Detents S70 2000

from what I have read on this forum....and on my own MY2000 S70 the parking brake should "click" five times, and be able to hold the car in drive at that position.

One "click" (and as you said, a hard one at that) sounds to me like it is set way too tight.

As far as the warped rotors........the first think that comes to my mind would be uneven torque on the lug bolts, or excessive heat(road race type braking).

Just be sure the lug bolts are torqued to the correct value.....and ALWAYS use Volvo OEM brake parts.

this is just my .02¢....but I never warped a set OEM rotors in over ten years of driving Volvos. I did warp a set of no-name brand front rotors once, before I learned to stick wth OEM though.
