Intermittent Slight Surge? S70 2000

177K Miles. Manual Transmission.

When driving at any speed, I think there's a slight surge, sometimes enough to make my head go back. Have not observed increase in RPM or speed. In addition, observed on occasion, the idle going up approx. 500 RPM upon depressing the clutch with my foot being off the accelerator. Both problems seem to occur mostly when the temp is around 30 degrees. Has anyone run into this before?

Thanks
