ECM Performance Upgrades - Intriguing! Anyone, IPD versus PES or Other?? 850 1995

If and when the markets ever rebound and I have some extra "play" money I might want to add a little more fun to my 850 turbo.

As i understand it, with PES you send them your ECM and they modify it and mail it back to you (hence your out of a car for at least a few days).

With IPD , they send you a modified ECM and you mail back yours.

The IPD unit cost $980 and the PES modifid ECM about $600 something.

Anyone have pros and cons on either unit (other than price) ?

Is one superior to the other?

Any problem with the check engine light coming on?

Any problem passing emmissions testing?

Also, I realize the modified ECM should be used in conjunction with a performance cat back exhaust system.
