I was the person "looking to buy real soon". I haven't purchased an XC yet and may hold off for the 2002 models which, I hope, will be out in late summer (and hopefully some of the 2001 kinks are fixed). I take it from your responses that sunroofs are not optional and that the cold weather option may or not be necessary. I live in Richmond, VA with mild winters. However, when a San Francisco bay area owner told me he had heated seats, I began to think that I may go ahead and get them. The only thing I do not like is the lack of options flexibiiity that Volvo offers. I may have to buy direct or other methods... no matter what, I will deal. I know that the dealership makes its money in the Service/Parts area, not in sales...
