Seems to have been a shift recently in buying rec`s, Now, recommended vehicles for AWD are 2004+ whereas it used to be, my recollection, 2003+.
We`ve now had our `03 XC70 for 5 yrs this month......commuter car (125 daily) so a zillion miles on it, all hiway miles. Runs great & excluding the electronics initially(DIM) it`s been an excellent car.......no regrets!
