Decision time for our S60? S60

A "Volvo whisperer" would have you lay on the couch and ask you a few question. First, pretend you are thinkg of buying your car as-is. Considering the wear items that need fixing, would you pay $4,000 for the car? That's what putting a new transmission really amounts to. So what's your trade-in value without fixing the transmission? Maybe $2000. After fixing the transmission? Maybe $2000.

OK, the next question is a personal one. Are you so in love with the car that it doesn't matter how much it cost to own it? Relationships are a tough thing.

My personal suggestion would be to sell it and get her a 2008/09 S60. But what do I know. But I think it would go to 300,000 miles, with enough money & patience to fix things.
