Decision time for our S60? S60

Ck Erie-vovo for used transmissions. About $1000+ for a 2002 trans with a lifetime warranty. Ck with your local mechanic and see if he'll put that trans in for you. I think it's about 10 hrs labor in and out. I had a 2002 without the same experience you've had. It needed about $5000 worth of work done and had 125,000 mi. I opted to give the car away and got an 04 xc70 with 50K mi for $10K. While it was twice what I would have spent to fix it I definitely, in my opinion, may a good trade up. However, the cost of pleasing ones wife throws the equation right out the window.
