STRANGE NOISE V70-XC70 1998

My 1998 XC70 has developed a strange noise when starting after sitting for 4+ hours. The noise sounds like a belt slipping, (moaning?)but the belt and tensioner have been replaced. The noise will always go away after a couple minutes of driving.

But, the strangest thing is the noise will go away immediately if I drive the car in a LH circle. Turning the steering left, and raising the rpms does nothing, the car has to be moving fairly quickly in a tight circle. A RH circle does not make the noise go away, just LH. It's like going in a LH circle moves some fluid (PS? Coolant? Engine oil?) through centrifugal force to the RH side of the car. And, that allows a pump to stop cavitating.

Any ideas??

Thanks,

Bill
