1998 XC70 engine oil cooler hose leak at engine V70-XC70 1998

Recently had 1998 XC70 engine oil cooler hoses replaced with new Volvo hoses and new O-rings. The shop carefully checked for leaks after the job and there were none.

A few days later one or both O-rings at the engine fitting started leaking. Back to the shop, they said one of the O-rings appeared to have been pinched. They replaced both O-rings and checked for leaks after driving the car a few miles.

I have driven the car about 400 miles since then and now there is an oil puddle under it. I am sure the O-rings at the engine fitting were not leaking for the first 200 miles. The leak started in the last 200 miles. The shop was very careful both times the O-rings were installed. I wonder what could be causing the O-ring(s) to start leaking after a few hundred miles.

Thanks,

Mike
