Re: Pirelli Sidewall Bubble... V70-XC70 2001

Hi B. De Denko. Where do you live? I live in Orange County and almost freaked out a couple of months ago when I hit my first pothole in California (a very shallow one compared to New England standards). Until recently (I started working in San Diego) I haven't seen anything less than glass smooth roads in California. Except for a couple of potholes I've seen in San Diego (truth be told they really had mostly ruts and bumps) I've not found any potholes in California and nothing that compares to the frame benders I've hit in Boston and New York City.

I've even spent a lot of time running up and down the mountains into Idyllwild on CA 234 just for fun (which is why I had to buy new tires recently) and haven't found anything to complain about (except for narrow roads and sheer drops off the side of the mountains).

Thanks.

-rdo
