Replacement Rotor Stud Hole S70 98

I am replacing pads & rotors on the front of my 1998 S70 T5A. I ordered the parts from Nils Sefeldt based on recommendations from this site. The new rotors have holes drilled for the 10mm stud between each of the lug holes, but none are tapped with threads. Do you have to tap the new rotors for the 10mm stud ? Does it matter which hole is used ? Do you really need the 10mm stud ?

Thanks
