AIR Pump Check Valve Replacement 850 1994

Hello:

I have determined that the air pump check valve on my 850 is defective and needs to be replaced. The price for this simple device is $72+; but my question is the procedure for removing the check valve. The hose clamps look like they are crimped on, and the hose has harended due to the hot exhaust getting through.

How do I remove these clamps? Do I then just unscrew the check valve from the metal fitting going to the exhaust manifold?

Any help appreciated. I am trying to avoid any screwups!

Thanks again

N. Ramesh
