Power Seat had a Wild Hair! 850 96

Just for everyone's info. This past weekend I was out visiting relatives. When 5:30 AM came around I got up to get the 855 ready to go and when I opened the drivers door I saw the seat all the way forward and the seat back all the way up (which actually leans forward a bit). My wife had driven it the night before so thought she must have moved it but when I tried to get it to go none of the switches would work. I asked her about it and she said she had gone in somewhere the night before and when she came back out it was like that and would not move. By now I was hating life because it is a 600 mile ride home and not the most comfort to say the least! Well it took me about 100 miles and a few more hours waking up before I started remembering this thing is connected to the ECU and so I pulled over praying, unhooked the negative battery lead to get power off the computer and "reboot"! After that everything worked fine and has since. I don't know if anyone else has had this happen to them but just in case it ever does, something to try-hopefully before a hundred miles of silent cussing-not to mention the funny looks of passer-bys....

Incidentally I just replaced a front wheel hub/bearing assembly on the 850 and if anyone is doing it and has questions let me know. I know I saw a post about it a few weeks ago.

Safe motoring!
