Passenger sunvisor vanity mirror and light V70-XC70

I had a spare from a P&P that I played with. The base of the mirror is pressed into the visor and does not come out. There are no screws to tighten. The cover has spring metal and I assume (limited memory) the plastic base wore out.

The wires to the mirror are quite short and melted into place with styrofoam, so even if you do manage to get the plastic out of the visor you will have minimum space to work.

I suggest going to a pick&pull armed with a 10mm socket and a pair of wire cutting dikes and replacing yours. Any 1998-2000 will work. The 850 have a slightly different hold sweet spot, but might work. Save your two light bulbs.

The wire connector is under the dash, of course, and the plug will not fit between the dash and the side of the A pillar for extraction. Wires will have to be cut and spliced with a good connector. The A pillar just pulls off, try it on a junk car, it's easy.
