tracttion control switch ... missing? V70-XC70 2000

Interesting that they would put the TRKS setup on there but not put the shutoff switch ???
I popped the dummy cover off and lo and behold there was a nice little plug back there comfortably nestled in a special holder on the back of the cover, so while at the boneyard I grabbed a TRKS switch, and , sure enough, it turns that setup off ( and back on :-) curious as to why someone would want to save just a handful of bucks to leave out a switch
