slow acceleration when cold xc90 2005 XC90 2005

Hello, I drive 2005 xc90 manual d5 120kW... and when the engine is still cold, the car is accelerating very poorly from 1000-2000rpm - considering that I do not press the pedal to the floor (I do not feel like revving and destroying a cold d5 engine...)... but if I use the clutch agressively and release the clutch at 2000rpm, then the car accelerates heavily ...
My questions are :

Do xc90 D5 120kw have rev limiters in order not to damage cold engines?

Is there any other problem with d5 and slow acceleration response when cold? EGR, vacuum leak, some sensor malfunctioning...?

Best regards, J
