'95 Tranny Slipping Fix 850

Just wanted to pass alog this tip to any '95 owners who might have this problem which seems common to this year. The tranny started slipping at the first stop after a freeway run shortly after I bought the car 15 years ago. It's gradually gotten worse over the years. A tranny cooler and synthetic ATF helped but it's progressed from happening only during the summer months to pretty much all the time. I investigated creating a false temp signal to the tranny computer but thought it might harm it in some way. Along about that time the instrument cluster failed and all the gauges would not move. The car speed signal to the tranny computer was also lost so it went into the limp home mode. This lasted about three months before I located a cluster that worked in my car (another story) and during that time the tranny worked great and never slipped. After I got the instruments working again I cut the tranny temp sensor wires and jumpered in a 100 ohm resistor across the two cut wires to simulate a high normal temp signal. Tranny working great now!!!
