Rear Shocks XC90 2004

My left rear shock is leading fluid and I am going to have both rear ones replaced. I have estimates from two shops. One is an experienced and certified Volvo shop and the other is Firestone. There is about $100 difference in the price with the reason being the Volvo shop would be using gas shocks while the Volvo shop would be using fluid ones.

Even thought I could save $100 I am not comfortable "mismatching" shocks (fluid in front-gas in rear)

Am I just being paranoid here? Don't want to replace the front because of $$ and both places tell me they are fine.

Thanks
