Brake Light Replacement...LED or not? V70-XC70 2000

For the first time I can remember, the brake light on the XC actually burned out. I could just go to the local Napa parts house and get the standard replacement bulb but...I was thinking of trying an LED bulb since they have made so many improvements in them lately.

Anyone tried LED style bulbs in their brake/tail lights lately? If so, what type of LED bulb did you find that worked best. If anything, I would like the brake lights to be a little brighter than stock.
