2009 oil capacity? V70-XC70

So I was tired of giving the Dealer my $$$, so I did my own oil change. I got the car (2009 xc70) last year with the Certified Pre-Owned Warranty, so the last 2 oil changes were on THEM. Ahead with my story...Drained the oil, changed the filter (eazy- Peazy)...the manual read: 7.82quarts w/ filter. I put in the recommended amt...may have been a tad more due to the .82. Ran the motor, checked the oil...the oil on the dipstick barely reaches the MIN line. Clearly if I put in a quart more, then I am at 8.82...nearly 9 quarts....??????? What do I do ?
