oil smell after changing oil 850 1997

After the last 2 oil changes, I smell burning oil when sitting at a traffic light. It is not the normal oil burning smell, but much stronger. My car has no leaks and no oil was spilled during the last 2 oil changes. With the hood up the smell seems to come from the distributer side of the engine. The smell goes away after about 2 months. Anyone else experience this?
