Re: Headlight Replacement V70-XC70 1999

Richard,

just replaced mine 2 weekends ago. Very easy (20 minutes). I found it much easier to take off the 2 front bolts holding the hood latch in place and rotate the latch on the back bolt out of the way. This allowed more room to reach the lower headlight bolt next to the fender (still pretty tight but simply could not get to it with the latch in place). Ended up using a open-ended 10mm (or was it 8mm?) wrench as I couldn't get the socket driver in there. 3 bolts out, headlight slips out the front end and reverse the process. Only a sore finger and thumb loosening and tightening the bolts by hand until I could use the wrench for a little torque!
