Baffling Coolant Loss S70 1998

Losing coolant at the overflow cap, but only on HOT days (90 degree plus). I replaced the tank and cap (with OEM). Temperature guage stays at halfway, as it always has, and never climbs higher. No white 'smoke' or odor from tailpipe or underhood. Overheating/coolant loss has never been an issue during it's 178K well maintained miles. I'm baffled!
