Martin-

Any non-OE ignition parts on the car? Cap, rotor, wires, or plugs? All in good condition? Then check the antenna. From the tip of the antenna mast to the center of the cable at the radio should be 1 ohm or less. The resistance from the center to the shielding should be infinite. The shielding to chassis ground should be 1 ohm or less. Anything other than these values indicate an antenna related problem.
