850R vs. T5 vs. V70

I'm shopping for a used turbo wagon. I lust for a safron V70 but i'm hesitant about the AWD. Was the safron color only available on the R AWD models? Does the AWD really add much? How is the fuel milage with the additional weight and mechanicals?

Sin, if you are reading this, you may be the person i'm looking for advice from. I read your response to another's quesion of 850 vs. V70. I prefer the interior of the V70 but I'll take better handling over a softer ride any day. I just tested a V70T5 and i liked the power. How would this compare to an 850 T5? I like the look and feel of the R models but I'm afraid my budget (purchase and maint.) isn't quite there.
