Dan, faced the exact same symptoms you described. Difference is for me, I know WHY the flshing arrow sign came about. I'd driven it for a while with the gear lever at halfway point between 3 and D. When the arrow lite came on, I looked at the gear stick, corrected the position, but the lite wouldnt go away. the car drove completely normal tho. i stopped and restarted coupla times, no luck, it was still flashing.

i was resigned to a (expensive) visit to the dealer's when next morning, the flashing lite completely disappeared.

hasnt appeared since ... touch wood.

the mystery continues...
