Passenger window won't stay closed -2007 V70 V70-XC70 2007

Hi - I have a 2007 V70-AWD and recently the passenger side window doesn't want to stay closed. Doesn't matter which switch I use; if I hit it too quickly, the window will close all the way and then go back down and stay down. The only way I can close it is by making it go up about an inch at a time with several lifts of the switch. It's probably not the switch if they both still work, right? It's almost as if the window senses there's something in the way - like a garage door that won't close all the way if there's an obstruction in the light beam. Any ideas? I hate to replace a part that isn't broken! Thanks!
