That is exactly what I did to bypass the compressor temp problem. I did not leave the 2 temp sensor wires hanging, I plugged them into each other and zip tied it so it doesn't flop around. My big hands made it very hard.

Just to be sure, I also shimmed the clutch a little closer.

Now I have to check the coolant level, I probably don't have enough, but it does feel good to have some of the humid air purged from the cabin. I am also waiting to see how long it lasts, you never know with 850 evaporators.
