engine overheat notification V70-XC70 2001

Not bad for a temperature of around 70F. Here are the specs:

32F --- 7300 Ohms
68F --- 2800
104F -- 1200
176F -- 300
212F -- 150

Nice linear curve. The instrument panel temp gauge also uses the signal from the ECT sensor, so it is surprising to see it suddenly drop to zero. I don't think the DIM came to be until 2002.

I suggest finding a laser temperature tool to check the actual temperature of the thermostat housing. I just bought one for $30, it is fun to use!
