ABS module repair services 850 1996

The last item to burn off on my new used car is the ABS system. The fault light is on, and its obvious I dont have ABS.

I was looking at the online services for repair. they all seem like they are in the $75 range. One offers the benefit of sending a rebuild, then you send the core back for a high price.

If you remove the module, can you drive the car with it, I know brakes will function, but if grime or moisture gets into the interface, is that a problem?

here's the one I was thinking of using, any use them before?
