2006 XC70 navigation system can't read disc

Hoping someone can shed some light on this beyond going to the dealer and/or replacing the system. 2006 XC70 with Volvo pop up navigation displayed today that it cannot read the inserted disc. Tried cleaning the disc, reinserting the disc multiple times, cleaning the system lens (Maxell CD lens cleaner), and loading the disc that can be read in my 07 V70R. All to no avail. Haven't found anything of note on brickboard, V70R, XC70 websites.

Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.
