2003 Upper Engine Mount Cross Brace Slop V70-XC70 2003

I have a 2003 V70 2.4T Along with the upper engine mount being torn, I also noticed that if I grab the crossbar that it attaches to I can easily rotate it forward and backward one-quarter inch before it hits any resistance. This is the cross bar that straddles the strut towers.
Is this normal or do I need to replace these mounts too ???
