Paint Detailing 850

After recently watching lots of Velocity Channel and Wheeler Dealers. I decided I had to try some paint restoration and it turned out great. This is what I did. First bought a polisher from Home Depot online. It is a brand called Wen and was $60. I read that a clay bar should be used before polishing, so did that. The car lives outside. Mothers California Gold kit was not expensive and was quick and easy. Then there were good reviews of Meguiars Ultimate Compound, and videos on polishing are easily available on AutoGeek and YouTube. Lastly I used a liquid spray wax by hand, and used the microfiber cloth from the clay kit. I skipped paste wax bc I got tired and it was looking great already. I went really light on the polisher, and was concerned about swirls on my black car, but there were none in the end! I've done hand compound before and had pros do it $$$, and this is the best result I've had. Just had to post. No time for pictures -too busy driving.
