I just took mine off, scraped off the old flaking parts sanded it down, taped off the flexible rubber piece and primed and painted with a high temp high quality spray paint. The little plastic piece near the rear window slides off, then you can gently and carefully pry the trim off. Be careful not to scratch or nick the paint. Mine turned out nice. I don't know how much it would be to replace it. Good luck
