Auto Trans 850 1994

Hi:

94 850 Sedan 93,000 miles

Anyone else had problems w/ the auto trans on the 850? The trans started slipping. The dealer read a code and said the transmission has to be replaced, cost would be $2500.00 I couldn't find any recalls or TSB's on this issue. The service tech at the dealer did say they have been getting similar complaints w/ the auto transmissions.
