update: fuse reset did not work, 2004 S80 trunk won't open S80 2004

The owner manual actually lists fuse one as the rem and lights. I pulled the fuse out for about an hour. When it's pulled the trunk lights go out. When I replaced it the lights came back, but the trunk does not open (unless you use the key, manual bypass).

Has anyone had this problem?
Do the micro-switches fail, even though you can hear the "click"?
It is possible to just replace the micro-switch, solder a new one in, instead of buying a new assembly?

Happy Holidays everybody.
