Missing cabin air/pollen filter? 850 1995

I noticed some people mentionaing air/pollen filters on 1995 850's but my car doesn't have one despite being of the same vintage. Perhaps this was a regional or optional thing. However, from the pictures at Bay13, the air intake box doesn't look too different from my car. Anybody know if it would be possible to install an 850/S70 air filter into the cabin air intake? If anybody has pictures of what the intake looks like without the air filter installed, that would be great.
